SEXx Stonewall: Roots. Rage. Revolution.

With the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, the current sociopolitical climate, and continued discrimination against LGBTQ communities, we will center the voices of queer and trans* people of color who fought back and started a revolution with the Stonewall Riots in 1969. Stonewall was the rallying cry - to fight back. - for us to band together and push back. We want to push back, remember those in the past and present who have been killed, attacked, and discriminated against because of their skin color, gender, or sexual orientation.

SEXx Interactive will create a space for people to present or perform on experiences and stories that honor the roots of the LGBTQ movement, that show our rage against injustice, and dare to explore the revolution of simply existing as a LGBTQ individual.

Presentations: 7-9

Tickets available via Eventbrite.

feel and be free: writing through trauma

Join Briyana D. Clarel for the next workshop in our THRIVE series! THRIVE is intended as a space for people impacted by sexual and domestic violence to grow, learn, and heal as a community. You can view last year's workshop series in the THRIVE book at survivorsgathertogether.com/thrive

Audre Lorde writes, “I feel, therefore I can be free.” To heal, we must be willing to feel. Creative writing and storytelling are powerful tools that help us access and process feelings. In this supportive space, we will share our truths while centering healing, wellness, and community care.

Kings

I will be performing in Kings by Sam Kaseta. More information below!

Kings is a show about history, masculinity, and why they're both ridiculous. An exercise in braggadocio, a disputation of the great man theory of history, a rock concept album, and most importantly a PARTY, this show uses drag to parody historical heroism and to give everyone else a chance to wear the pants.

Hosted by Leo Tolstoy, Kings is a drag king cabaret experience for the ages!
Part of the Tank's Tank-aret series and LadyFest 2018

Featuring:

Christopher Columbus
Winston Churchill
Napoleon Bonaparte
